New Door: Today I added

chickenfeet2003 to my livejournal friends list. We seem to have collided via the pubquiz community, but they seem to have a fairly interesting journal, and I'll be interested to see if I stay intrigued. I think that counts, since although I was aware of them before today I hadn't yet read their journal.

Nostalgia: I remember finding The Day of the Triffids terrifying as a kid. I gather it's possible to buy the BBc series on DVD now. I'm awfully tempted, except that it would probably not live up to either my memories or the book. I was reminded of it lately by a quiz question.

Creation: It's 4pm, what have I created since this time yesterday? A feeling of wellbeing in friends by inviting them round for pizza and DVDs. A tidier living room and garage by moving some boxes around. A few more directories of oggs on a harddisk so we can listen to them on our jukebox. A couple of livejournal entries. Later I may get as far as creating dinner.

I think if I carry on in future I might try and be more subtle about it and just slot them into ordinary entries unannounced.
