Home sweet home?
Apr. 22nd, 2003 03:11 pmWorking from home today, was shattered and half hoping the parcel I was looking for would be delivered. No sign of it. Was going to go meet rjk for lunch and then head into the office in the afternoon but we sort of faffed and didn't bother and now I'm feeling bad about it. ...my theory as to why people do that is that it's the same as the effect where a car driver always finds bumps and sudden turns and so on less jarring than their passenger, and where other people's computers always seem (at least to me) to have faster interactive response than anything I'm using: basically unexpected things seem faster, and are harder to react to, than expected things. It is annoying, though, especially if you do notice something interesting flying past.
MTV with the sound off, now, that's how TV should be used...
