Stuck it out yesterday. Then today read up some more on their advice on "personalising your plan" - and instead of two shakes spread out by a couple of hours I ate 450 cals of roast carrot and parsnip chips with salt and vinegar and pepper and felt much less cross.

I also discovered their green veg soup is more palatable than the other two flavours, and I think I can *definitely* happily eat the rest of those. I'm still very very divided on the merits of the shakes mind, or indeed the merit of the whole thing. But hey, I'm here and taking it one day at a time for now. And I've got some bananas which are totally not recommended but need eating up so I might have one of those with my porridge tomorrow morning :)

I'm definitely going to eat more on Sunday though, as we're going on a nice long walk to find bluebells!

Thanks so much to those of you who commented. It really helps!

I think I've heard that one of these diet shake things makes passable spongecake if you microwave it in a mug. My synapses have no footnotes and I may have dreamt this.

If you do decide to get rid of the shakes I would take them. But I think Aldabra had sensible things to say about carb crash, and taking things one day at a time also seems sensible, so good luck with it.
