Busy times

Mike and I have been busy for the last few weeks, mostly in getting a new kitchen installed. It's now all finished and we *love* it.

Now it's all done though we can relax and prepare for our holiday later in September: walking the West Highland Way. So today we made the most of the lovely weather and went out for a walk, which at 16.6 miles turned out a bit further than we'd originally intended. We had a lovely time though.

It's around 90 miles, over 8 days walking, plus we're staying an extra day in Fort William to hopefully do Ben Nevis too before we come home. Depends a bit on weather and how worn out we are. The longest scheduled days are 14 miles, but the terrain will probably be a bit harder going, and of course it's several days in a row, so you're not as rested. But our luggage is being carried for us, so we should only have daysacks about the same weight (and content) as we had today.

Really looking forward to it, though I'm a little apprehensive about the distance and the weather :)
