I've created a team "The Chain Gang" with "Eleanor Blair" as team leader, if you want to join that. I've still gone for individual membership though, since I don't have at least 6 team members. I'm hoping I can persuade some other friends with Oxford connections to join us :-) JDC? Juliet?

Addendum: I'm not intending to get their transport to the start, but will go on the train the previous day and hopefully find someone to put me up for the night. I'm sure we'd be able to provide crash space for non-residents of Cambridge after the event.

If I've got my bike by that point, I might be tempted.

Well I would, but given that I've tried it three times and failed to make the distance in a day, and that in at least two of those years I was in better physical shape than I am now...

As it happens I'm at a work conference in Liverpool that Sunday anyway.

It is now, alas, enough closer that I know I will be drunk in another gutter. It's naath's birthday and I'm not even going to make that. :-(
