Well. More or less. It's not what I wanted, but sometimes a relationship is past its best before date. So now I'm definitely single. Which I admit is something of a novelty really. The last time was probably about a week at the end of February 1998. But it's not really the end of the world, and despite a somewhat teary evening I do actually feel quite positive about stuff. And have a lot of wonderful memories, as well as keeping an excellent friend. What's not to like?

The moon is shining tonight. It's not full. It's not new. And to my nethack addled mind that seems a good omen of sorts.

I'm glad you're coping so well. One of the worst things about being poly, from what I've seen of it over the last year or so, is that it allows the possibility of multiple breakups in quick succession, which must be awful... One ending at a time is quite enough to have to deal with. *hugs*

I guess. Though partly this breakup was a side effect of the other party to it never having expected it to be a "serious" relationship in the first place. I think I've only ever been in poly situations rather than it being a thing that I need to be, but we certainly shouldn't have made the mistake of not talking about the implications of a "secondary" partner becoming an only partner.
