Badly cooked fish can certainly be very icky. Good fresh fish is a delight.

(My experience of non-fish seafood is mostly prawns, which my brain doesn't file as "wiggly".)

Oysters remain untried for me. I intend squid to remain once-tried; the rest is all yummy, though.

things like prawns and shrimps are not like things like cockles...

the former are nice... the latter are ye spawn of ye devil and fail one of my three golden rules of eating... namely "thou shalt not eat if it looks like it came from a cows nose"

Mine is "Thou shalt not eat anything which bounces when you bite it", but that pretty much covers the same sorts of seafood.

Prawns, shrimp, crab and lobster are fine - but anything else is ick.

My answers probably aren't much help; sorry :p

*grin* my answers are along the same lines.

no fish for 11 years -- and I didn't like it much back then either.

I classify most non-fish seafood as "icky", although there are some types (prawns and crab) to which I'm merely indifferent. Oysters, mussels, squid and so forth are definitely out though.

I don't believe I've ever eaten lobster.

Oh, and scampi are fish for these purposes. :-)

I said "yummy" to fish, because it is, but I have to admit I do get pissed off with all those bones sometimes. I really can't be arsed with kippers.

Well, actually, "varies" on the other-wiggly.

I can't stand oily fish or strong-flavoured fish at all - only "nice bland lumps of white protein" fish, or occasionally something like tuna or salmon. Not even trout. Seafood I think I may be mildly allergic to, as well as being extremely mentally allergic to knowing what it eats.

White fish, yeah, and trout. Other fish gets eaten only raw (=sashimi, sushi) though I make an exception for Cookie's saké-marinated tuna.

I opted for *shrug* for the second question because some non-fish seafood is lovely, whilst others isn't.

You've noticed the special lunch deal too, then? :)

Deals? Hmm..

I've always wanted to try Loch Fyne, I suspect they'd have stuff worth eating even for those who aren't total fish devotees :)

Well, I'm veggie, and I didn't hate fish when I wasn't. But I hardly want to eat it either.

Although I love seafood I have serious problems with the way it is produced, so I generally avoid it.

So's Madrid. Quite how it has great sefood, and cheaply, when it's so far from the sea is a mystery to me.

I shrugged a couple of times, then I realised how similar that was to the Jack Dee joke about people phoning TV polls to say "Don't know."

It's all yummy but I do find that if I get more than a couple of bones in my mouth I go off the whole thing.
