Oops, shopping
Oct. 23rd, 2002 03:00 pmYesterday it was a 30 quid boned top from the alternative clothing fair.
Today it was a 25 quid dress from Miss Selfridge, reduced to 15 in the sale and then to 12 with a 20% student discount which they're doing this month and I still just qualify for.
They're nice, but I really should try to stop spending so much. Must stop eating in town so often too as it comes out quite expensive as well. Which would conveniently stop me spending so long in the shops in the way of temptation as well. Which I guess means getting up better in the mornings so I have time to make lunch to take to work, that or doing it the night before. Mornings are definitely still hard work!

Date: 2002-10-23 07:29 am (UTC)So lunch for me tends to be rice with tin of some food, normally sin free. If I've got no rice premade I'll put it on when I get up and it'll be ready by the time I'm ready to leave the house. Since I normally make up two days worth of rice in one go I'll store the other half in the fridge for the next day.
I will admit that I'm helped here by having a rice cooker so its just a case of putting rice and then enough water into the cooker and turning it on :)
You could always do the alternative I sometimes do - pasta with stuff, where "stuff" is generally something like Quorn pieces, a tin of chopped tomato, a tin of baked beans and some herbs. Only takes 10 or so minutes to cook that up.

Date: 2002-10-23 08:01 am (UTC)I suppose you could do things like salads et al, although salad every day could get quite boring. There again, there are many different types of salad. It would mean more prep work tho :(
