TripleX at the Warner tonight followed by a curry.

Bletchley tomorrow, followed by Jon's birthday party in the evening. And a quiet day in on Sunday so RJK can do his assignment for nCipher's recruitment process. Hopefully by the end of a quietish weekend I'll be feeling less tired. Cinema again on Monday to see Road to Perdition at the Arts instead, which no doubt will be a much better film :-)

J and V both away this weekend, and next week in J's case, so it will seem very quiet after this week.

Did they give you pen and paper, or a computer, for the on-the-premises one?

Both Jobstream and Persimmon, when I interviewed there four years ago, scored black marks in my book for giving me an on-site programming assignment using pen and paper. FFS, all programmers write code in environments which allow them to insert, delete and correct an arbitrary amount, so even the good ones never need to learn to cope without; exactly what does it tell you about my skill to find out whether I can write code linearly from start to finish so it comes out legible on a piece of paper?

A Linux box, logged in as "guest".

It turns out that the HP9000 at the computer museum at Bletchley Park as a passwordless guest account...

Persimmon did that to me. While I'm not exactly Mr. Programmer anyway, it did break my brane rather.
