So I should have had a subject by the end of June I think, or possibly it was the end of July, and I should have been researching all summer. And now it's September and I've not done a thing and don't have the slightest idea of what to study. But I have finally emailed the projects coordinator about it and explained that I'm depressed and worried about it and how it will effect my overall grade if I completely balls it up and how much time I actually have left. Hopefully she can arrange to talk to me about stuff some time soon.

I suppose I should feel better for getting that far, but I don't really. Oh well, hopefully it'll do some good.

Well in the case of the MA I'm starting, if one chooses not to do the dissertation one gets a PGDip. Dunno if it's the same in your subject. Anyway *hugs* hope it works out. (PS: oohshinynewpiccie!)

*nod* Understood. I nearly utterly fucked up several semesters in my first degree for various reasons I shan't go into here. Something I'd forgotten to mention is that at the induction they said it's possible (particularly for those doing the degree part-time over two years, which I think you're doing?) to hand in the dissertation in April instead of October. It would move graduation by half a year, but it's something to look at. Again, not sure if it applies in your subject, but you could look into it. Er, my point was, all is not lost, or something.
