Oooh, nifty

Thought I'd have a go with one of the livejournal clients, and logjam was conveniently available in Debian so away I go. Well, that works anyway :-)

Oh drat, except that if I try and view some of my old entries up pops a nice new Mozilla window, with the wrong diary in. Who the hell is brad anyway?

Oh well, I've reported it as a bug to the author anyway. We shall see what he says.

which version of logjam are you running ? i'm running 3.0.2 and although it does pop up a nice new mozilla window, it pops it up with my diary in.

evan is a pretty cool guy, although probably rather swamped with email.

3.0.3, and it's definitely just sending the wrong URL to the browser if you hit the "view" button on an event using the "history calendar" under the Journal menu.

ie if I hit it on the "ooh nifty" one intending to end up here I get:

http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?itemid=6

which isn't the same thing at all. Although if you hit "edit" instead you get the right text to edit.

I'm sure he is snowed under but it's not something which is *too* inconvenient so I'll live until he has time to deal with it.

ah, yes, so it is. that's because they changed the system a couple of months back from ending in "?itemid=x" to "?journal=foo&itemid=x". i would guess that that version of logjam was written before that system change. i'll see if there's a more recent version and compile it up and see if that works ....
