Well, I've just finished the Ken MacLeod I was reading, and finished it with a big grin on my face. Absolutely brilliant, and I recommend this second series even more heartily than I would the first one. It seems easier going somehow, but full of wonder, and with wonderful tricks played with time and distance. It's got some really good aliens too, and some nice giggles at 20th century SF too.

Not really had the best of days, shattered, bike out of action til I fix a puncture so bus to work arriving very late, work depressing the hell out of me and more, and an accidental misunderstanding revealing something which made me feel very hurt. Nice to bump into Karen on the way home though, and book and food have filled the evening. Maybe it's bedtime.

I hope it wasn't me who made you feel hurt. I don't know what I could have done to do so, but at the moment I feel like I'm putting both feet in my mouth and trying to walk around like that. :-(
