Dr Perry only in on Thursday this week, and then away for a fortnight. And all his slots that can be booked in advance are already full, so I have to ring early on Thursday if I want to see him. Given it's an ongoing problem recurring I'd rather see him than another doctor.

Pleasant evening yesterday curled up in front of Heat on the telly. Missed the beginning but it was still enjoyable enough, and while I'd seen it before I'd forgotten enough to still be surprised by things, always good in a thriller. In bed not long after midnight, but I'm still shattered today. Sounds like John is still full of cold.

Dr Perry? You're at Nuffield Road? There was a very good doctor there, who I vaguely remember being called Sue Chester, though either or both components of that may be misremembered, who would do as a stand-in. Was very helpful when I was in a slump.

Yeah, Nuffield Rd. Dr Perry has been really good, both for me and for angua (she went to see him for a second opinion on my advice after the first doctor she saw suggested gardening as a way of stopping feeling down: in November).

But I shall bear that in mind if I can't get an appointment with him on Thursday. I should be OK until then. Other than the tiredness I'm not feeling as bad as I was last week, or not all the time anyway.

Oo, is he quite short with big friendly eyebrows and has a 2-year-old kid?

Dr Perry? No idea about the kids,and I didn't notice him being very short, so probably not who you're thinking of. The most obvious distinguishing feature is the fact he only has one eye though, and wears glasses with one lens slightly smoked to hide it a bit. Awfully disconcerting the first time I met him.

Unless you mean John, in which case no, he's not short either, and I don't think he has kids. He has a lack of beard today, which was a bit odd. I reckon it makes him look older without it, apparently his girlfriend reckons the opposite. *shurg*
