Friday night
Aug. 22nd, 2003 10:33 pmSpent geeking, burning the dinner (sausages rescued, gravy beyond hope), watching rjk trying to get windows installs working better, making my hair purple again, and finding all the bits and pieces I want to take up north with me tomorrow. Should print out train times (done).
Oh yeah, earlier today. More Sobig faffing. More pre-registration of pgrads (looking more plausible now than it was). Wandered into town at lunchtime and bought new rucksack for 9 quid on the market, since my old one is now disintegrating. 3 years isn't bad considering it cost about a tenner from a french supermarket. New one has more pockets than seem strictly necessary. Used it to carry nice lunch and things for dinner from M&S. Talked to Jan by email, and Sion a bit on irc, but didn't seem to be being much help to either of them really. Will just have to see how things are when I get back from the weekend. Sometimes I think it might be better not to try help if I'm part of the problem anyway mind.
Anyway, small selection of clothes that still fit packed in rucksack, along with makeup and pyjamas and the like. Mobile fully charged and also packed. Book still on bedside table as want to read more before going to sleep. Can't think of anything I've forgotten. Alarm set for 7:30 am, 8:42 train. Should be in Mirfield for 12:43 if all goes well. Back some time on Monday.
Personally mostly feeling tired. A little apprehensive of keeping a happy face on over the weekend but I'm sure I'll manage.

Date: 2003-08-22 03:09 pm (UTC)You're not part of the problem in any way, shape or form. And thank you for the email, it did help. *hugs* I'm sorry I wasn't very responsive but I feel like I've already said everything I could say before, and it just makes me feel uselesser and uselesser. :-(

Date: 2003-08-22 03:22 pm (UTC)*hugs* I don't know how to reconcile worrying when you don't say anything and not wanting to make you reply if going over and over things just makes them feel worse.
