Harry Potter et la coupe de feu, c'est fini! Et c'est bon. J'avais oublié quelque part des choses qui sont dans le dernier partie du roman. C'est assez dificile de comprendre, parce que ma Français n'est pas assez courant. Mais je l'aime bien. Je dois chercher le livre numero cinq!

Qu'est-ce qu'on va lire maintenant? Peut-etre "the Scar" de China Mieville je pense.

Yes, I spotted in Owen's link that they were doing that on special offer if you bought the latin too. Given my welsh is even more non-existant than my latin neither really tempts me.

If you want a nice long book in relatively uncomplicated French, you should hunt out a copy of 'Flash', by Charles Duchaussois. Might prove tricky, but it's fantastic.

Added to my amazon.fr wishlist, thanks. I've still got TLoTR around but I think I'll save that til later, especially since I asked them to send me the Hobbit with the 5th Potter. And I've a Simenon that August gave me that I haven't read yet. That one's probably a good bet for next thing in French actually since it's short.

IKWYM. I've just finished 750 words of book in the language and I still struggled like hell to get the bit up there looking vaguely OK. It's *so* much harder to write than to read. Maybe I need a penpal or something. Or to sit down with a grammar book and learn the endings for different tenses. Ick.
