Dunno who's on yet, can't seem to find much info on the web, but I think I feel like going this year. Anyone who wants to join me is welcome to.

Would have loved to come to the Folk Festival, but I have to go to sion_a's parents' 60th birthday party. Depending on when the party is, and who's on at the FolkFest, I might try to get to bits of it; but I doubt if they or sion_a would approve -- I think I'm expected to be sociable for the entire weekend.

It's very strange having accidentally acquired a set of parents (in-law, out-law, whatever) who have parties and things, and expect us to visit a lot, and expect to be able to visit us a lot. It's just so different from what I'm used to. My parents are pretty anti-social anyway, and they basically made it clear once I stopped living at home that my life was my own, and while I'd always be welcome to visit, they weren't going to expect me to come home because I probably had more interesting things to do. <shrug> I mean, I do actually like seeing my parents, but I never feel obliged to do so, which is nice.

Acksherly, the do's planned for the 26th, AIUI. I was expecting a clash 'cos of the Folk Festival usually being last weekend in July, but seeing as how it's not (again) there is no clash, and we should be able to do all of the FF if we want.

Oh! You (and they) had said all along that it clashed with the FolkFest. I didn't even check the dates, just assumed you knew what you were talking about...

Boy, do I feel even more stupid now for whinging about it. :-/ But I am glad we can do the FolkFest, assuming there's somebody decent on (and hoping that it isn't just an ocean of mud again...)

If I'm around for any or all of it, I'll be there. I've been trying to get to both Cambridge and Cropredy alternate years. And all I've ever managed was Cropredy ever 3 years or so.
