 Some things:

 

- I ran out of instant, and had to make real coffee in the cafetiere. It was quite nice actually, but not enough nicer than the instant

 

- good day at work, good week actually, tidying up loose ends before we go on holiday

 

- tomorrow we go on holiday! Off to Northumberland with all the family to stay in a big holiday cottage practically on the beach at Beadnell. Hopefully catch up with some friends on Wednesday too

 

- I have had a horrid cough. I'm still coughing, but it's getting better. Sadly Mike has now started too, plus a migraine on top. Hopefully he feels better tomorrow. Covid tests (I've done about 4) all negative, but will test again tomorrow morning too.

 

- have printed out my eTickets for the train as a backup in case my phone runs out of battery. This doesn't feel very much like the future :)

 

- I am *this* close to quitting Twitter now. Just waiting on my data being ready to download first. I fear I may be some time.

- oh and I paid Thriva for a blood test kit. I've been dieting with the NHS "Healthy You" online plan for 12 weeks, I'm down about 8 or 9kg and eating better in general in that time too. Seemed a good opportunity to get a hba1c test and see if it's improved my blood sugar levels (last one was November). Damned test bruised 3 fingers, and then apparently one of the samples didn't clot so I'm going to have to do that one again tomorrow. Thankfully it's the smaller one!

Have you tried coffee bags?

Not quite a proper filter coffee, but way better than instant.

My go to suppliers are Brown Bear and Bristol Coffee Company, who have a gift box somewhere on the site.

Both of them work out at about 30p a cup.
