Now the crowd, that was the thing with this gig. They were nice. Very very nice, and awfully civilised. And just a wee bit too grown up (and I mean that in terms of age and not behaviour).
Yes. That's how it was with the last two DC gigs I've been to. It's just weird. In fact, the first of those two was a DC/Ben Folds joint one and the vast majority of the crowd was there for Ben Folds. So during Neil's set, people were just yapping to each other and yelling across to their mates on the other side of the hall. Even during "Tonight We Fly" there were no more than about 5 of us jiggling up and down vigrously. And the last one; well, it was fully seated so...
We're off to see DC tomorrow night at St. James' Church. I'm really hoping it isn't seated, but given that it's a church (albeit one that does host the odd non-classical gig) there's a strong possibility that it will be fully seated.
Still... Something For The Weekend, eh? That'll be weird since we went to Hard-Fi only last night :o)
