This week I gained ¾lb

Over the past 1 months of dieting I've lost 0st 4¾lb, which amounts to 2% of my starting weight - my current weight is 15st 9½lb

My average loss a week is 1¼lb

My target weight is 14st 7lb. I am currently 1st 2½lb away from this.

My current BMI is 35.08; my target BMI is 32.43.

Electronic scales are pretty good these days and you can also get hold of medical-grade scales which are mechnical, but use a better mechanism than the "stretch a spring" method cheaper scales use - as a result of this cheaper scales will tend to become less accurate over time as the metal in the spring becomes fatigued.

Boots (http://www.boots.com/) sell a number of decent quality scales (http://www.boots.com/shop/product_list_new_template.jsp?classificationid=1034579), but expect to pay in the range of £30 upwards for a decent electronic one.
