Sometimes I am useless

So I go shopping, and find things I think are perfect for people:

Rjk: one card, identical to the one Vicky bought, a book he already had and a CD which he didn't.
Mike: card was at least unique, and the DVDs were ones he didn't have, but the CD was one he already has.

Oh well, I'll swap rjk's book for something else, and Mike says just keep the CD :-)

Judging by the ones I get given, all cards have penguins on them.

Neither card had penguins on. Though the one Richard now has two of features a duck. Well of *course* it does.

On the plus side, if you buy people things they already have, that confirms your judgment that they're perfect for them! It's just that, just like anything else, perfection is something you can have too much of :-)

Oh I didn't mean that too seriously. At least I bought Mike an album he has already *and really likes*. And it is pretty damned good.
