Tent, 2 sleeping mats, 2 sleeping bags, water bottle, torch, bin bags, spare batteries

Toothbrushes, toothpaste, bog roll, soap, towels, pills (contraceptive, ADs, antihistamines), suncream, plasters, germolene, ibuprofen, antacids, wetwipes?

Money, one debit card each and cancellation details, train tickets and glasto tickets, mobiles, handbag thing

Clothes: undies, shorts, tshirts, several somethings warm, waterproofs, sunglasses, DMs, nightwear

Book, notebook, pen, disposable camera(s)

Anything (else) really stupid I've forgotten? (I don't really do sunhats, and I don't want to carry too much in the way of food since I don't have enormous rucksack of doom)

Spare torch? Spare torch batteries. I either lose my torch or the batteries die when I got camping. Or both.

How about some smallish, non-melty (i.e. not chocolate) snacks so you're not totally dependent on the on-site catering. As you didn't mention food I assume that's being acquired by other means.

I thought this was a great idea, so I looked when we went shopping today, but couldn't find any. Where would it be in a supermarket if they had it? With sweets? I know I can get it from Millets if needs be, but it seems a bit daft to have to go to a specialist camping shop for something that's basically just sugar!

I've never seen it anywhere but camping shops. I assume this is because (a) you have to be mad to go camping, and (b) you have to be mad to eat Kendall mint cake. They kind of go together.
You could always pour a bag of sugar into a saucepan of water, stir until it disolves, add peppermint essence, then simmer it down until it's a nice solid block. Depends if you want to come back from Glasto with your own teeth.

Hat, for keeping the sun off. Lots and lots of binbags. Premoistened towel things (wet-wipes) for when the bogs are just too far to clean your hands. (Ziploc bags for keeping the water out of stuff in your day rucksack, assuming you're leaving the main one in your tent?)

(All of these being things other glasto people have told me to take...)

Deodorant? :-)

I used to take: insect repellant, plasters, a pack of cards, babywipes, kitchen roll. And a book, since I wake with the dawn while camping.

Plasters, germolene, diarrhoea tablets, painkillers. If you should happen to need any of them you really don't want to have to buy them at onsite prices, and they don't take up much room.

Book? Something to write on/with? Snacky food?

Something for the weekend? ;)

Oh, and more warm stuff. Weather looks like it's going to be chilly (http://www.metcheck.com/events/forecast.asp?eventID=11). :-(

Bin bags x lots (little ones for rubbish/random things, big ones for sitting on). Hat. Basic first aid stuff (antihistamine, plasters, Germolene, paracetamol).

Something specific to wear sleeping? (This was recommended even to those who didn't normally or intended to wear what-they'd-worn that day at scout camp, and then sticking on day-wear over the top in sufficient layers to provide adequate warmth in conjunction with sleepingbag+blanket (the blanket being folded round the bag and rolled up like that))
