1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
"hoping it would encourage her form-mistress, who was".
2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?:
A starcraft brood war expansion CD case.
3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?:
CSI and Law and Order from last Tuesday, taped.
4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is:
About 11pm.
5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?:
10:52
6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?:
Does the jukebox count as the computer? I can hear Richard typing as well.
7: When did you last step outside? what were you doing?:
This morning. To attract the attention of the postman who'd knocked with a parcel and was walking back to the van.
8: before you came to this website, what did you look at?:
My mailbox, which had no new mail. And #chiark on irc.
9: what are you wearing?:
Comfy black cotton knickers, bright red bra with tacky diamanté bits I mean to remove but haven't got round to, short black stretch cotton/lycra tshirt-dress. Nosestud, 5 earrings, belly button bar.
10: Did you dream last night?
I think so. More this morning really, and when dozing mid-afternoon. Nothing memorable.
11: When did you last laugh?
Not sure.
12: what is on the walls of the room you are in?:
Lilacy purple paint, a Calendar of Jack Vettriano paintings, bits of cobweb.
13: Seen anything weird lately?:
What's weird?
14: What do you think of this quiz?:
I liked the first couple of questions, the rest is more dull.
15: What is the last film you saw?:
At the cinema, um probably Return of the King actually. At home it was Judge Dredd, and not very good.
16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?:
Pay off rest of mortgage probably. Then no doubt bubbly and dinner.
17: Tell me something about you that I don't know:
Hard to think of something that won't be familiar already to at least one reader. Apart from the scars I have on my body from the bike accident last summer I have a pretty purple titatium piece of belly jewellry which has two bits on it that aren't purple any more from being scratched on the road. It really scared me just how close I came to more permanant serious damage.
18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?:
Good question. Somehow make people unprejudiced. Not necessarily unbiased, but at least aware of their biases.
19: Do you like to dance?:
It's great fun. Sometimes there are tracks I just can't help bopping along to.
20: George Bush: is he a power-crazy nutcase or some one who is finally doing something that has needed to be done for years?:
Neither, but closer to the former. Certainly misguided and in my opinion doing more harm than good.
21: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?:
No idea.
22: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?:
No idea.
23: Would you ever consider living abroad?:
France has its appeals. But I'm happy here for the meantime.
24: Will you pass on this survey?
Anyone's welcome to snarf it.
"hoping it would encourage her form-mistress, who was".
