Yay for LJ::Simple

Thanks Simes. With some faffing I have now automagically reposted 287 entries, as private backdated entries, from what was once a word document diary, dating back to 1989. All seems to have worked OK. Now only 1999/2000/2001 are completely blank. I'm half thinking of writing some summaries based on mail archives, but that can be for another day, since it would take a fair amount of reading.

All the entries I tried looking at appear in the calendar, but when you click on them they say "no entry for this day".

They're all private, so that's probably what happens. To pick one at random, I presume you get a "permission denied" style message for http://www.livejournal.com/users/lnr/217023.html. The fact LJ shows the existance of posts you can't read in some places and not others seems a bit buggy to me, but that's LJ for you.

My pleasure; at some point I'll even get around to finishing it off so that it can work with all of the LJ flat protocol - its still missing the editfriends and editgroups commands.
