Well I'd definitely go freeview if that's the case as both sky and ntl are going to cost you an arm and a leg. C5 reception is spot on + BBC3 and BBC4 + News 24 - that's all I tend to watch.
Aerial fitting involved:
1 open loft hatch 2 stand on chair in bedroom holding aerial through loft hatch 3 point in the same direction as the rest of the aerials in the street 4 confirm that the freeview box works 5 lay the aerial on the joists in the loft - i.e. not screwed to anything 6 shut the loft hatch over the aerial coaxial cable 7 shove the cable behind the wardrobe
er... that's it. Even if you paid for someone to install the aerial, it'll be cheaper than a few months' rental of sky/ntl
