I love this sequence:

GP texts me results of my recent diabetes check-up. Results all satisfactory, but it suggests a change in dosing pattern for medication if it would make life easier for me, and tells me to message clinical pharmacy team.

I look online, and the website tells me to use their app for medication requests, so I fill in a new request in the app, very briefly because there's only a small text box.

I get a text message from pharmacist, saying they can't just change my medication, and they need to see a letter from my GP. The text is from same no-reply service as the GP uses, so I can't reply.

So I message the pharmacist via another medication request in the app to ask for an email address, which they send back to my by text message.

I finally email the pharmacist a screenshot of the original text from the GP - and the request is granted by email the next morning. With suggestions of more alternative dosing schedules/formulations if this one upsets my stomach!

So it looks like for now I'll be on 1g Metformin twice a day, rather than 500mg three times. I note this is also an increase in dosage, but the fact I only have to remember to take them at breakfast and teatime will be an improvement!
