Mince pies - photo a day

Today has been a day of chores and playing with baby. We've been to the shops defrosted the freezer, hoovered, finalised the Christmas food shopping, and baked mince pies! Both wholemeal and plain ones, and having done a bit of quality control I can say that they're not bad at all. Slightly too much water in the pastry I think, and maybe rolled a bit thick, but better than Mr Kipling deep empty pies with their weird crumbly pastry.
