El Mariachi didn't happen - we failed to negotiate the user interface on the DVD. Apparently you have to set it to Spanish with subtitles - if you set it to English you get the director's commentary. So instead we watched Desperado, which I love, and Mike and Andrew hadn't seen before. And since we were done by ten we stuck Bill and Ted on afterwards and giggled lots. 1988. Scary. Very pleasant evening indeed. Andrew and I drank non-alcoholic Becks, and Mike and rjk drank blue curacao and white russians. And hopefully Andrew is safely negotiating the night bus home.
