I've bought my sister a present, got my sick note sorted (Doctor thought a week not likely to be long enough to be much help, but we'll see), the washing machine is hopefully going to finish washing and drying things before my dad arrives for the drive up to Leeds. Back on Sunday. Sad to be away, and to miss seeing people at the usual Thursday/Weekendy sort of things. I probably won't be too sad to be away from LJ for a little bit though. You'll all have to keep rjk amused for me while I'm gone, so he doesn't spend the *whole* weekend hacking in DisOrder. My dad knows I'm not in work today, so is going to ring me as soon as he's done in Norwich to give me an hour or so to get ready and then we can head straight off.

Hope the break from Cambridge helps (and the longer break from work, too). AFAIK there's nothing Weekendy happening so you're probably not missing much!

Let me know if you want to do lunch or something next week -- it'd be good to see you. Otherwise I guess I'll see you at Thursday-pub or maybe Wednesday-quiz. Not that social life round here is pred or anything. :)
