1. Give me a nickname and explain why you picked it: Oh goodness, I haven't invented a nickname for anyone since 1994. I'm going to cop out and give the empty string, since that's what I mostly call you: I've noticed my personal idiolect nearly always avoids using people's names when talking to them unless I absolutely have to. Not sure why. It just rarely seems necessary, and I suppose I expect people to already know who they are.
2. Am I lovable: I'd say so, yes.
3. How long have you known me: From my diary archives, I think it was 11th July 1998, so that's five and a half years now. Goodness.
4. When and how did we first meet: At a barbecue at Greenend. (At least, my diary archives say I'd seen you at some unspecified ucam.chat event before that, but this was the first time I met you properly and actually talked to you.)
5. What was your first impression: Bubbly, friendly and smiley. You reminded me very much of my then girlfriend Emily.
6. Do you still think that way about me now: You're still bubbly, friendly and smiley, but you don't remind me of Emily any more, partly because I know you better now and can distinguish your personalities easily, and also because I haven't seen Emily in years.
7. What do you think my weakness is: A marked tendency to post LJ memes? ;-)
8. Do you think I'll get married: Hard to say in general, with poly people. You're perhaps more likely to than some I've met (notably ones with no clear "primary"), but perhaps less likely than others (notably ones who are already married so it's a foregone conclusion :-). If you really needed me to make a yes/no guess, I'd probably flip a coin.
9. What makes me happy: Being surrounded by nice people seems to do a pretty good job, I've noticed.
10. What makes me sad: Not entirely sure; mostly when you mope on LJ I've been nowhere near you so I can't tell :-)
11. What reminds you of me: Nothing springs to mind right now, but I'm sure five or six things will as soon as I post this. This sort of question works like that.
12. If you could give me anything what would it be: I'd want it to be something that would somehow remove a major hassle from your life. This might require inventing something from scratch, and I'm not sure which major hassle would be a good one to go after first...
13. How well do you know me: This question suffers from the lack of suitable quantitative terms in which to express an answer sensibly. I'm sure it's possible to know you significantly better than I do, but in spite of that I think I know you fairly well. Um. 7, in appropriate units.
14. When's the last time you saw me: At last night's party.
15. Ever wanted to tell me something but couldn't: If I had, I'm not sure why I would suddenly have become able to tell you about it now just because you've posted a meme :-)
16. Do you think I could kill someone: Another "no idea", really. I'd hope you could if it was in order to save your own life, because if it came to it I'd rather you stayed alive than some hypothetical psychopath trying to kill you, but mostly I hope you never have to find out!
17. Describe me in one word: This is always tricky, because most words I can think of tend to describe only one of looks and personality (or exterior and interior, or whatever). I think I'll go with perky as one which dips its fingers vaguely into both. As it were.
18. Do you think our friendship is getting stronger, weaker, or staying the same: Staying the same, I think, though it's hard to tell.
19. Do you feel that you could talk to me about anything and I would listen: Yes.
20. Are you going to put this on your livejournal and see what I say about you: What, and violate my long-standing Meme Free Zone? :-) If I did that I'd set a precedent and then I'd never get any work done again. I'd love to hear what you'd say about me if you happen to feel like answering anyway, but sorting out all the administrative hassles of beginning to decouple my LJ from my Monochrome diary (to which I have no desire to propagate LJ memes) is something I don't really have time to do...

This seems to be very much the case for me, too. Mainly because I'm so useless with names, I'm so used to just not knowing the name of the person I'm talking to.
