Body jewellry query

I just bought myself a ball closure ring or my belly button, like this one (though with a different design):



The trouble is I can't work out how on earth it opens. I've tried twizzling the ball in case it unscrews but it just seems to go round and round indefinitely. Anyone have any ideas/experience that might help?

You just need to apply some pressure to the ball at aright angle to the ring. It should pop out. Do it over a bowl or something the first time or you might spend ages searching the floor for the ball.

the ball just has two dimples in it, and then the rest of the ring just is sprung and stays in there. Basically, just use force to twist the ring and the ball should pop out, promptly requiring a long search to try and find it.

razornet's approach seemed to work in the end, and I did even lose the ball. Must try harder :-)

I have one these in my ear. It's not really meant to come out, but when I had my night in the cells they compelled me to take it out, and I've had it out once before. I grasp the hoop between fingers and thumb of both hands, one on either side of the ball, and pull apart. The thumbs can generally snag the ball and save it from being lost.

Your earring is a rather skinnier guage though? I think this one is rather too stiff to pull apart that way. Don't intend to take it out any time too soon though.

If it's thicker it's probably also more resistant to more brutal techniques, so that's OK.
