Note to self, if someone has locked themselves in the bathroom *ask* if they're OK, before assuming things must be utterly awful and spending 5 minutes worrying about them and only then knocking on the door. You might in fact discover that while things are bad they are in fact just in the bath and not sitting in misery and trying to get away from you.

Hee! Been there, done that. Also done it with the additional variation where, in fact, they're no longer in there at all, but have come out, closed the door again, and gone off into the garden without me knowing.
