I suddenly paid attention to Rammstein this year after years of thinking "Must check out their stuff". Ended up with all their albums within a week... Apparently the gig was beyond belief - wish I'd seen it *sulk*
Also Maiden rocked at the Reading Fest didn't they?? MM was a bit cak tho - clearly overran, and his voice was screwed.

Date: 2006-01-02 12:24 pm (UTC)You were at Reading? Maiden were damned cool: I know a fair bit of their stuff vaguely through friends even though I don't own any myself, but it did make me giggle that some of it I seemed to know better than the more hardcore metallers I was hanging out with. But yeah, it was great. I'd not seen MM before so I rather enjoyed it, and it was nice he did all three covers. Ernie tells me he was much better in 97. I think the Pixies were probably my highlight though.
Going next year?
Feel free to poke around in my LJ memories for gig and festival write-ups :-)
