This week I gained 8½lb. Well no, obviously it wasn't all this week. Still, half a stone in 2 months is not good. I've not been weighing myself in the meantime, not just not updating. I gave up and it shows. Time to try again (again again). Starting this week with trying to have breakfast in the morning *before* work instead of raiding the sandwich machine.

Over the past 43¼ months of dieting I've gained 0st 12¼lb, which amounts to -6% of my starting weight - my current weight is 16st ½lb

My average loss a week is lb

My target weight is 14st 7lb. I am currently 1st 7½lb away from this.

My current BMI is 35.85; my target BMI is 32.43.

Well no, obviously it wasn't all this week.

I'd be prepared to believe it, I've gained 7lb since Saturday, if my scales are to be believed, and I'm really not sure how. I bet it's all gone again tomorrow. I think it adds a random number when the fancy takes it.

I can gain like crazy in a week. Mostly water, obviously, but it still doesn't help me feel any better. I gained 12 pounds in a week about a month ago and I'm still working on getting it all back off.

Still, facing up to it all is the best (& bravest!) thing you can do. It sucks. It's not fun having to deal with any of this. But there it is. You've just got to keep at it because the alternative is not acceptable. Just make the changes you can live with, and keep believing in yourself. I know you want to be thinner, but it's no secret that you are wonderful and loved just the way you are right now. Keeping that in mind might help make it a little easier.

Hang in there!

When did I get to target (just checked, May 17th). Well since then I've gained half a stone. It actually appeared on the scales in the last two weeks, but I suspect I've been laying groundwork for it to reappear for a few weeks longer than that, as I've got less prudent in my food choices and hardly had time to go for a run.

So I'm back to being ultra good again for a bit. No more chai lattes for a bit *&)

Best of luck with yours. My key (other than being organised) seems to be to not stop eating. If I keep eating (the right stuff) all the time I don't eat the wrong stuff. If I leave too long a gap, unfortunate choices sneak in.

I'm always annoyed by the way there's a day in any week, even when I'm dieting hard, that I weigh at least 2lbs more than any other day in the same week.

Either that or all those desserts at Rachel's wedding did a hell of a lot more damage in three days than I thought was possible..
