Mad weekend

Back safely from pleasant day at parents, less than 24 hours in Yorkshire total but lots eaten and drunk and pleasant company of family. Had nice briefly appearance at fanf's birthday party beforehand - glad I could make it along for a bit, seemed very pleasant. Definitely thinking of heading to bed now as I am knackered. And have been eaten alive by mutant mozzies in Doncaster. Right ankle is swollen to around 3 times the size of the left one, and is distinctly painful as well as itchy. If not better tomorrow will take it to doctors. Going to be a bit of an odd day anyway, as I need to be home by 12 in case the NTL engineer is actually bright and early to fix our phone. Hopefully it turns out to be not too hard to do. Still, have dinner out to look forward to in the evening.

I think it's the time of year. I've been running around in short trousers and T-shirts all summer and haven't been bitten once. Yesterday afternoon and last night I was bitten several times by something(s).

I'm prejudiced, but I've never known NTL to do anything on time, let alone early:-(

Yeah, he's due any time after 12, which is why I have to be in by then just in case, but I don't actually expect them any time soon.
