Lost?

The only disadvantage with not having to wear your glasses in order to be able to see adequately most of the time is that this makes it much easier to put them down somewhere and forget where. I checked all the usual flat surfaces at home this morning, but they don't seem to be around. I've checked the desk at work, don't seem to have left them here on Friday. Can't remember the last time I had them, don't think I took them to greenend on Saturday... Running out of ideas.

So if anyone sees a pair of glasses with dark metallic purple frames around anywhere (they look black at a first glance) and fairly small oval lenses, one of which is much stronger than the other, can you let me know. Ta. No doubt they're at home somewhere daft.

...as opposed to putting them down somewhere and not being able to see where, which is what I do rather a lot. :(

Safety specs are just as bad in that regard. I find it helpful to have about three or so on the go so that one is always findable - alas, this wouldn't work when glasses are expensive, or if they aren't confined to one rough area...

I'm almost glad to need my specs slightly more urgently then - I tend to only put them down on the dining table, on top of the scanner, or next to the monitor... Hope you find 'em. BTW did I see you in town today - thought I did, through the door (it was bloody quiet so I spent most of the time staring out the door).

Probably, I wandered past and killed 10 mins poking round Lakeland before meeting hoiho and ewx for lunch.

Oh yeah, I was going to give you the URL for that hairdye. http://www.directions-retail.co.uk/ I note that I needed to bleach a pale stripe in the front before dyeing in order to get such bright results though, I dunno what your opinions on bleach are. Some of the colours are fab though, and at this rate the two tubs I have (bright red and violet) are going to last me years.

Gah, I've tried just about everywhere sensible (flat surfaces, pockets, bags), and plenty of silly places too (makeup bag, underwear drawers, under sofa cushions, cupboard full of bathroom junk, under the raccoons in the spare room) still no sign of them.
