Wheee!

OK, so maybe it's not just a town bike. 23.5 mph, on the flat, no tailwind, 4th gear (of 5). I'm tempted to see just exactly what she can do if I really push her (and get the mudguard fixed so it stops rubbing).

Mind it did show up just how unfit I am.

23.5? Impressive.

I'm more and more sure that I've mis-set (or mis-measured) the cirumference of my wheels in the boke computer thing, as I cant get above 18mph no matter how hard I try. And that ain't right.

I think I've just mis-set my legs or something, because I simply can't cycle that fast. At all. Anywhere.

What is the wheel circumference set to, and what nominal size wheels do you have, as a sanity check?

La la la no comment. :-)

To be frank I have no idea - nearly all my journeys are either traffic-infested or far enough that expending vast amounts of energy wouldn't be a good plan, and in addition the panniers are nearly always full which isn't very aerodynamic. I might take her out at lunchtime today and see... I doubt it is much different either way, TBH.

I mentioned this already, but; 31mph. However, no way to test around here on the flat without some wind assist, but also not maximally inflated tyres.

I did cheat^W make an effort to the extent of stripping off the pannier with all the miscellaneous cycling junk in it.

That road's 40mph... and as you know it's not a crime on a bike. :-)
