Party tunes
I'm sitting here with my knitting, and my YouTube party playlist. It's a rather random mix of a bunch of tracks I love, some of them are more dancing type parties, others more sitting round drinking and talking, and some of them probably aren't really party songs at all if I'm objective about it, but they're staying cos I love them.
If you were to pick just one song for a party playlist, what would you go for?
I'll start you off, with Sultans of Ping, and Where's Me Jumper?
I'd love to hear some of yours!

Edit: I've got 15 tracks now for my 2023 Social Media Collaboration party playlist. Anyone else want to add any more?

But also, just to go in another direction, a bit of Chuck Berry: https://youtu.be/r0qMVLY18bI?si=hJNJmeAA0HahWseX
And I'd play this at a party to watch people realising: https://youtu.be/FW8F_kWueLs?si=KnCO8r9hkwGKm88x

Of course, after I posted that, someone on Mastodon did their best to reinforce my earworm :-)

Hard not to get earwormed by that one! It has been a most excellent playlist, from across five different platforms!

Thank you to whoever suggested "Diggy Diggy Hole". It provided much needed cheer.

Various people nominated a couple of choices for different moods, and Glenys came up with about six on Twitter before I said "enough" :)
My main party list has over 370 songs, so I'm not exactly very discerning myself! Making this new list has been lots of fun though, because it's got lots of things I *wouldn't* have picked myself (although quite a lot that I would!)

And then I started thinking, and the problem with that is that, as an occasional DJ and mixtape/playlist-maker, it got challenging, because it depends on the kind of party, who's going to be there, etc., etc.
Why yes, I can overcomplicate almost anything. Sorry!
(Still thinking, though.)

If I could only have one, it would be Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Run Away with Me'
