I don't post much here these days, and I was thinking this morning that the plethora of different social media platforms is partly to blame. Used to be I'd post everything to LJ (before I moved to DW), but take my most recent posts:

Facebook: being stung by a wasp
Twitter: whinging about John Lewis flooring department not getting back to me
Strava: cycle commuting log
Blip: daily photo log: in this case of an accidentally completely consumed bag of popcorn.
Here: selling stuff, or long-form politics

Technically I'm on Insta too, but I've rather lapsed there, but tended to use it for just photos I was really happy with.

So each little bit of the internet gets a different little slice, rather than it all being in one place.

Anyway, I'm still here and I still like reading your posts, even if I don't say much myself.

Hello! I’m not on Facebook — would it be a lot of faff for you to mirror your Facebook posts here?

Sadly I don't think there are a lot of ways to do that. It's much easier to echo things *into* Facebook than out, as far as I can tell. I wonder if ifttt.com can do it?

Hello! I have a similar system - it doesn't seem to add too much to my cognitive load, but not sure I could take on too many other platforms.

It works quite well when we're all on the same platforms, but it does mean some people "miss out" on each other because they don't overlap enough!
