Architecture - photo a day

I like to photograph buildings which I find architecturally interesting. Spotted this today en route to visit a potential childminder for Matthew, and thought it was rather fun - though I think my iPad lens must have been a bit steamed up (and yes, I'm aware of how ridiculous it looks using a big tablet as a camera:). I'm guessing 1930s, or maybe 20s? I love the curves and all the windows. And the immaculate lawn certainly helps.

Is that one of the ones along Queen Edith's Way by any chance?

I bet it would cost a fortune to get those curved windows double-glazed...

I'd guess it's terrifyingly expensive to heat, too. (And would still be so even if the windows were done - flat roofs, massive surface to volume ratio. Difficult to tell from the photo at that magnification, but I wouldn't be surprised to find the walls are single layer brick, for a building of that style, too.)

Very nice, could easily be a Poirot location!
