Why can't it say on the packaging, or at least make it more obvious by not having a residual thread, that these inner tubes don't require a lock-ring? I *will* fix my bike this evening. I'm sick of buses already.
I was surprised by the inner tube I recently purchased not having a locking ring supplied with it; however it didn't have a thread for a locking ring either so I guessed that this was deliberate.
Thinking about it, the pressure within the inner tube should hold it in place; its only when you're putting the tube into place that you need to be careful and make sure that the inner tube hasn't slipped out of position whilst you've been putting the tire on.
