Doctors Orders

Lungs sound clear, so it's probably viral.

Coughing up greenish stuff says it *might* be turning into a secondary bacterial infection - if it hasn't improved in 3-4 days I have a prescription for anti-biotics which I should try.

In the meantime keep taking the symptomatic relief (Beecham's all in one cold capsules, Hall's mentholyptus cough sweets, Karvol decongestant to inhale).

Here's a sick note for a week, it says "flu".

Asked chemist for something which would help the cough and help me sleep at night, and they recommended taking an antihistamine along with the cold capsules.

If you're having trouble with a cough you might want to try dextromethorphan - it's the only stuff I've found that actually stops you coughing. But you should only take it if it's an unproductive cough.

Tha's what they've told me in the past, as well. And as you know, I love antihystamines. Not zirtek, though, the other one for colds.

actifed also helped me - I had a cough that went on for weeks in Febuary.

What?!? You used to be a complete Zirtek pimp. What happened?
