14.43 miles in 1 hour 15 seconds. In 24 degrees C. When still recovering from a cold.

I feel a bit rough now, but rather better for having had a nice cold drink and a shower. I did enjoy the ride though, but it's just as well I didn't pick a longer route! I think I'm going to go find something to eat now and then spend the afternoon curled up with a book going zog.

Oh and there are too many thunderbugs out there today and they are horrid. Ick.

Oh that's just me out training, the real ride (54 miles!) is not for another fortnight. You're certainly welcome to sponsor me though. I'll try bring the paper form along to something you're likely to be at some time soon :-)

I'm not sure thunderbugs are evil, in general I don't mind them too much. They're small enough not to be creepy the way large insects are. It reminds me of those tiny red spider-mite things, they're not evil either. Being covered in thunderbugs is nasty though.
