Yeah, it does seem a bit expensive to tell you stuff you know already, rather than triaging into people who need this level of encouragement and information, and people who don't. It also has the typical NHS assumption that the only thing you have to do in your life is manage your illness (and associated ADMIN), and that you don't have a job or other commitments.
