Well, it's Ms Bar, and a "Mr Foo and Ms Bar" account already exists (the one Nationwide won't let me pay the cheques into), and I certainly don't want to have *three* accounts two of which have the wrong name on.

I *could* lie to Lloyds and get them to add me as a second account holder on Mike's account with the wrong surname, and then we'd have to transfer the money to the right account after paying it in, but I still *hate* it.
