I can (sort of) see why Christians might find it odd or uncomfortable to see someone apparently using their rituals without their reasoning (rather like the secular appropriation of Christmas, though of course early Christianity appropriated pagan festivals before that, yada yada); but from a non-Christian point of view I see it as being more like New Year's Resolutions: if it helps your personal motivation to tie a task to that time-period, then great, and if it doesn't, then don't. I wish you success with your goal!
