It won't work.

Got an SMS from Andrew on Tuesday night (with a strange icon) that won't view and won't delete (any attempt to do so freezes up the phone) and since then new text messages aren't getting through. Have contacted Siemens to see if they can offer any advice.

Can you save any other messages from your inbox that you want to keep, and then do a "delete all" on the inbox?

What model of Siemens is it? There are actually a couple of text-based virii that certain Siemens models are vulnerable to. Might be worth checking.

Is the message on the phone or the SIM? If the latter, you could see what happens if you try the SIM in a different phone (or a different SIM in your phone) as a temporary thing.
