Baa humbug

If the little things your partner does every day, the things they do *just because*, or just plain being together, mean more to you than you could possibly say, but you still like an excuse to try and show your appreciation, regardless of the fact some people think it's just following the crowd and doing what the media tell you, post this sentence in your journal.

I buy people Christmas presents too. :-P

[See here for an example of the meme I'm not quite following]

So long as you don't expect me to buy Valentine's cards ;)

Because that's what I thought was implied by the "showing your appreciation regardless of ... following the crowd and doing what the media tell you".

Um. It wouldn;t have to be 'buy a card' anyway, surely? It could be as simple as a 'good morning, happy valentines day, I love you' as opposed to a 'good morning, I love you', no? Although I guess it's more likely to be more elaborate a difference.

Why buy when you can make much better, more personal and thoughtful ones?

Because I have no artistic skills whatsoever?

Fair point. But I did say "can", so if you can't... hey ho, it was worth a try.
