More tellies

So, we have the measurements (81cm x 48.5 cm) and have measured the gap - the piece of marble on which it will sit is 80 x 47 cm, but it should be OK to overhang a little, and there's certainly space for it to do so. Anyone know of any good reasons why we shouldn't buy this telly. Getting one which is about as big as will fit seems like a good plan to me.

You have until rjk sobers up to convince us why it would be a bad idea.

just be sure that the surface will take the weight - large tvs are heavy

It can cope with me sitting on it quite happily... It's solid marble, about 1-1.5cm thick, supported by brick. Should be OK I think.

although in the email lj sent you said "& lt ; jealous >" (excluding spaces)
which seems rather interestingly formatted and it quoted me as saying jealous with the angle brackets. It's all so "not this time of day/week/month/year thank you" Eek only 19 days left till V-day

Yeah, you have to use the & lt; if you want LJ not eat the things in triangle brackets. It thinks it's a bit of HTML. I used to think you had to use & gt; for the > as well, but spotted in an email of a reponse from imc that you could get away without it.

V-day: ah yes, good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine (and well done on the driving test BTW).
